Freud's Theoy and Sexuality

During the class week of March 29th, we were having discussions on Freud's theory of the unconscious and how sexuality is a major motivation. This is a very interesting predictament because I wouldn't think that sexuality would have a strong impact on the people's motivations especially with the unconscious state of mind. Freud's theory had a few major points, the id, ego, and super ego which is all part of the mind whether conscious or unconscious. During people's lives at different times in their lives the sexual motivations from the unconscious start as infants and grow stronger until they reach adulthood. He explains that sexuality is a major motivation on people's actions and behaviors due to the parts of the mind. I believe that sexuality is an important part of a human's life but I do not think that it has the strongest motivation on people. There are other more important things out there that motivate people such as jobs, careers, money, and memorable places as well as other important things as well that keeps people going.

Why did Freud think that sexuality was the most important motivation on people, do you think this is so?

  1. Freud is right from a different point bof view. why we live? is it sex only? no, never. we live to keep our mode of nature. so, we are all, including different species, mental patient.
