This week, the class had to read about a debate about the nature of dreams and how they work. This was very interesting because it deals with Freud's theory about the unconscious. It was explained that dreams are imagined actions that do not happen in reality. When people go to sleep, the action drive doesn't end, it can be just as real as the waking life. I read that when people go to sleep the ego is weakened and the id is more present which deals with the unconscious where dreams can take place. Dreams are still a mystery to me. Even with all the facts I have read in the debate, it's still really hard for me to figure out dreams and how they work. I think that dreams are based on what the person wants and desires and also deals with memories. I believe that when we go to sleep part of our soul is locked in our mind which is why we can still feel things and emotions in our dreams. I also believe that anything is possible in a dream because it's not reality which sounds really nice because the reality can be dull most times. I find that dreams are a good way of escaping reality.
Do you think it would be nice to turn your dreams into reality sometimes?
