Truth is something that people have been dealing with for thousands of years. Not even today, people still do not understand what truth really is and what its all about. People have come up with a number of different ideas and definitions of what truth really is. In our class, truth was defined as, the correspondence of a statement with the way the world is. Some other definitions from different sources like the typical dictionary and web definitions define truth as, a fact that has been verified, and conformity to reality or actuality. All these definitions are very similar and carry the same message but yet people still tend to either disagree with them or think that there is more to it which maybe true considering the fact that even some philosphers disagree and are still trying to investigate more about what truth really is. I think that truth is just the opposite of lies and that there is no absolute truth in our world because things can be looked at by many different ways by many different people. So therefore even today truth still remains part of a mystery.
If truth has been dealt with for thousands of years, why don't people have the absolute definition of what it is? Is it possible that people will ever understand what truth really is?
